• This is a remote position based in Argentina, exclusive to individuals within the country. The contract duration is 6 months, with the possibility of an extension.
• We are seeking a Design System Specialist to join the expanding UX team at a prominent player in the e-commerce sector. Your primary role will involve constructing and upholding a comprehensive design system that seamlessly integrates with our development procedures, specifically tailored for Tailwind CSS. This position is ideal for someone who excels in organizing intricate details and recognizes the importance of a meticulously crafted design system in delivering exceptional product experiences.
• Responsibilities include:
• Establishing the design system from scratch: Crafting a comprehensive design manual that seamlessly aligns with Tailwind CSS, adhering to the best practices for Figma-to-development processes
• Setting up component architecture: Designing scalable, sustainable component libraries to minimize decision-making fatigue and expedite development
• Implementing design tokens: Structuring design tokens that seamlessly transition between design and development tools
• Collaborating with developers: Working closely with our development-focused team to ensure clear, implementable design specifications optimized for AI-driven development tools
• Driving UX Ops initiatives: Introducing processes, tools, and workflows to enhance design-to-development transitions
• Maintaining system consistency: Ensuring adherence to system standards across all design work and continuously evolving the system to meet team requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining design systems
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including expert-level component creation, variants, and auto-layout features
• Thorough understanding of Tailwind CSS and principles of utility-first design
• Experience with design tokens and design-to-development processes
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams
• Knowledge of responsive design and considerations for cross-platform compatibility
• Proficiency in AI tools and Figma plugins that enhance UX workflows and productivity
