• Create and implement user-centric interfaces, workflows, and design solutions for ServiceNow applications, encompassing portals, workspaces, platform features, and custom modules.
• Develop tailored dashboards based on data models and external data sources.
• Partner with stakeholders, developers, and product owners to transform business requirements into functional designs.
• Customize ServiceNow forms, portals, widgets, and dashboards using tools like Service Portal, UI Policies, and UI Scripts.
• Guide the implementation of UI components by collaborating closely with developers using ServiceNow Studio, UI Builder, and scoped applications.
• Work collaboratively with other ServiceNow developers to devise solutions and manage updates, configuration changes, and requests to ensure functional and visually appealing outcomes.
• Comprehend business necessities and standardize processes into ServiceNow design practices.
• Demonstrate strong partnership skills by closely collaborating with cross-functional teams, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Continuously refine designs based on user feedback and analytics.
• Showcase and explain your design solutions in team meetings, management sessions, and leadership presentations.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather user requirements and translate them into modern, user-friendly interfaces.
• Enhance existing interfaces through continuous improvements to enrich user experience based on feedback and analytics.
• Stay abreast of UI/UX best practices and infuse industry trends into design and development processes.
• Offer technical documentation and knowledge sharing to team members when necessary.
• Possess a College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Hands-on experience in designing within the ServiceNow platform Design System, particularly in Service Portal, App Engine, Studio, or Workspace design.
• Proven experience in creating and customizing widgets using the Service Portal Widget Editor.
• Familiarity with Web 2.0 technologies like Java scripting, XML, HTML, Ajax, CSS, JSON, Perl, Apache Jelly, jQuery, AngularJS, etc., and how designs are translated into front-end code.
• Proficiency in writing low and medium complexity JavaScript in Business Rules, Script Includes, and Custom ACLs.
• ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer, UX Designer) are highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
