• The Product Creative team collaborates with Product, Growth, Content Design, and Engineering to shape the visual experience of Affirm's owned channels.
• Lead the design and implementation of Affirm's marketing and product communications across various platforms like email, in-app messages, and web.
• Establish a cohesive design ecosystem of assets to ensure consistency, scalability, and high-quality craft across all channels.
• Contribute to enhancing Affirm's Communications Design System by creating reusable components and documentation.
• Collaborate with the promo platform team and growth initiatives to co-design in-app experiences.
• Provide visual strategy guidance and education to teams across Affirm to drive innovation in visual design.
• Drive visual design innovation through the implementation of new techniques, motion, and interactivity.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in visual design, communications design, or product design roles.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality visual design focusing on clarity, scalability, and impactful storytelling.
• Hands-on experience in designing for email, web, and in-product messaging, with knowledge of best practices for each medium.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and email design tools like Contentful and SFMC.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, motion design (LottieFiles), and WCAG accessibility principles.
• Ability to effectively communicate design thinking and rationale, ensuring alignment across teams.
• Experience in building or contributing to design systems, including understanding scalable frameworks and documentation best practices.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous situations, with the ability to prioritize and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic mindset with a keen eye for detail, especially in typography, grids, balance, and whitespace.
