Character Artist

📋 Description

• Independently create high-quality character assets.

• Collaborate with rigging, tech art, and animation teams to ensure models meet animation requirements.

• Assist in establishing and enforcing best practices.

• Texture and prepare assets for key visuals.

• Work closely with the Art Director and the art team.

• Enhance and maintain the character production pipeline.

• Write briefs for outsource vendors and review their work when necessary.

• Estimate and plan work with directors and Production.

• Mentor other character artists and contribute to a creative and excellent work environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver results.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in creating high-quality 3D models.

• Familiarity with sculpting and scanning pipelines for character creation.

• Proficiency in modeling and texturing a wide range of characters and creatures.

• Experience in creating hair and fur using various techniques.

• Strong understanding of human and animal anatomy.

• Skills in organic and hard-surface modeling.

• Expertise in industry-standard sculpting and texturing software.

• Creative design skills and ability to think outside the box.

• Effective communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

• Impressive portfolio showcasing expertise in character creation.
