• We are seeking a talented Senior Character Artist to join our team and contribute to a new dark fantasy multiplayer game created using Unreal Engine 5.
• Your role will involve creating new characters, creatures, and character-related assets for this exciting project.
• Working closely with the Art Director to maintain a consistent artistic style.
• Developing high-quality real-time character models, adhering to provided concept art.
• Producing optimized models that balance visual fidelity with performance.
• Collaborating on technical and artistic problem-solving tasks.
• Coordinating with rigging and animation teams to ensure models meet technical specifications.
• Sharing knowledge and mentoring junior team members as needed.
• A strong portfolio showcasing realistic forms and surface treatment is required.
• Proficiency in modelling and texturing using tools like Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
• In-depth knowledge of the 3D character creation pipeline for realistic rendering in modern game engines.
• Expertise in human and animal anatomy, with a talent for creating believable fantasy character designs.
• Specialization in organic, character costume, and hard surface modelling, with the ability to complete a character model from start to finish.
• Experience translating 2D concept art into detailed 3D game models.
• Strong visual sense to bridge the gap between concept art and modelling.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, receive feedback gracefully, and adapt working methods to project requirements.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a character artist in game development.
• Familiarity with alpha card hair grooms is a plus.
• Proficient in English language.
• Preference for candidates who have contributed to shipping at least one AAA title on PC or consoles.
