• Seeking a Contract Illustrator specializing in Stylized Cartoon art to contribute to a brief project related to a well-known cartoon intellectual property.
• Collaborate with the team to produce cover illustrations and other artistic requirements in line with a pre-established art style for an upcoming online comic.
• Essential: Ability to replicate and build upon an existing style for new artworks like covers, key visuals, and comic panels to seamlessly integrate with the current content.
• Produce 2D illustrations that closely adhere to the established art style.
• Engage with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the short-term project, meeting predetermined milestones.
• Maintain communication with the Storygrounds team via Slack or preferred communication platform.
• Adhere to provided style guidelines, reference materials, and feedback to ensure alignment with the current visual direction.
• Provide clean and production-ready artwork with properly formatted and exported files (e.g., layered PSDs, high-resolution PNGs).
• Possess a PORTFOLIO showcasing proficiency in replicating various 2D Cartoon art styles (e.g., Adventure Time, Rick and Morty, Bojack Horseman).
• Proficient in Photoshop.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English.
• Capable of reproducing a stylized, flat-color cartoon aesthetic characterized by:
• Clean, definitive outlines with fluid curves; avoiding sketchy or textured finishes.
• Flat color fills with striking, surreal color palettes (e.g., purples, greens, pinks); minimal shading or gradients.
• Simplified yet expressive characters, dynamic poses, and humor conveyed through body language.
• Professional development and growth opportunities.
• Exposure to a renowned cartoon IP and the chance to contribute to its visual storytelling.
