• Develop and maintain the visual identity of Public Eye and its platform, ensuring consistency in aesthetics across various elements such as the core game, UI/UX, platform hub, and mini-games.
• Collaborate closely with Creative, Design, and Engineering leads to align the visual direction with narrative and gameplay systems.
• Lead the concept development for characters, environments, interfaces, and marketing assets.
• Create and manage style guides and visual references for internal teams and external partners.
• Supervise the production process and pipeline for video, image, and audio assets in Public Eye.
• Provide guidance and feedback to artists, ensuring the quality and style of work meet expectations.
• Manage outsourcing and contractor relationships to ensure timely and on-brand asset delivery.
• Ensure that visual design enhances storytelling, gameplay clarity, and player engagement.
• Contribute to branding and marketing discussions to maintain visual consistency across all player interactions.
• Stay updated on visual trends in mobile games, narrative design, and UI to continually evolve the visual language.
• 4–5+ years of experience in game development with a minimum of 3–4 years in an art direction role.
• Proficiency in generative AI tools and pipelines is essential; strong skills in using generative AI coding platforms (e.g. Claude Code, v0, Lovable, etc.) are a significant advantage.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating art direction in stylized or narrative games, preferably in mobile or platform-based experiences.
• Previous work in the crime genre is a bonus.
• In-depth understanding of how visuals contribute to narrative storytelling, especially in character-driven formats.
• Experience collaborating with various departments such as game design, narrative, engineering, and marketing.
• Strong visual storytelling instincts with a keen eye for cinematic elements and knowledge of color theory, composition, and visual pacing.
• Experience in contributing to UI/UX design tone and style to ensure clarity across different platforms and screen types.
• Comfortable working in a startup environment that is hands-on, fast-paced, and highly collaborative.
