Design Manager

📋 Description

• The Design Manager is a key figure in shaping the design vision for new constructions, renovations, and conversions within the portfolio.

• Ensuring that renovation and new build designs align with brand objectives, meet operational standards, and adhere to quality assurance guidelines is a core responsibility of this role.

• Contributing to the enhancement and development of prototypical brand program designs to optimize performance and enhance guest experiences is also part of the job.

• Acting as the primary AD&C point of contact for design partners and ownership teams involved in franchise and managed-property projects is another crucial aspect of this role.

• Reviewing drawing and specification submission packages to ensure compliance with brand and AD&C standards is a key task.

• The Design Manager may also be required to visit properties to propose renovation scopes, assess work quality, and ensure compliance with Property Improvement Plans.

• Approximately 20% travel is expected for this position.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a 4-year degree from an accredited Interior Design program.

• NCIDQ certificate is preferred.

• Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in designing hospitality projects.

• Previous experience in hotel-brand design is desirable.

• Strong team skills, effective collaboration abilities, and experience managing projects across various locations are required.

• Exhibit strong business acumen, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

• Proficient in communication, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and cross-functionally.

• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with proficiency in MS Office Suites, project planning tools, and space planning software is necessary.
