📋 Description

• Lead and manage the Design Team members.

• Collaborate closely with technical and systems design leads to assign tasks within those departments.

• Develop and maintain precise design documentation that explains system functionality clearly.

• Utilize Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) to prototype, construct, and refine systems using Blueprint scripting.

• Work in tandem with Engineering, Art, Narrative, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration of gameplay features.

• Prioritize enhancing player experience by creating intuitive, engaging designs that cater to various playstyles.

• Actively engage in playtesting, collecting feedback, and refining designs to achieve top-notch quality.

• Identify design hurdles proactively and propose innovative solutions that push creative boundaries.

• Advocate for an exceptional player experience and ensure design alignment with the overarching vision of the project.

• Contribute significantly to design discussions and the advancement of design methodologies to foster a culture of knowledge-sharing within the studio.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems design for AAA titles.

• Previous involvement in shipping at least one AAA game in a systems design role.

• Demonstrated expertise in crafting and implementing core gameplay loops, progression systems, and player-facing mechanics.

• Proficient in Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5), specifically in-engine implementation and Blueprint scripting.

• Self-driven work ethic with a strong sense of ownership and autonomy.

• Excellent communication skills to convey complex design concepts effectively.

• Passion for developing emergent, systems-focused gameplay and narrative-rich experiences.

• Knowledge of telemetry and its application in game development for validation purposes.

• Leadership qualities to mentor team members and set a positive example.

• Enthusiasm for narrative-driven First-Person Shooters.

• Proficiency in scripting within Unreal Engine (e.g., advanced Blueprint usage) is advantageous. Familiarity with C++ is a bonus.

• Experience with roguelike/roguelite or immersive sim genres.

• Track record of designing systems that enhance replay value and emergent outcomes.

• Familiarity with content tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Hansoft) or version control systems (e.g., Perforce).
