• Develop and execute real-time particle effects using various textures and 2D/3D elements
• Create and customize particle, decal, and material textures, including color, normal, specular, ambient occlusion, height, and emissive maps
• Construct basic geometry with appropriate UVs for VFX applications
• Position and adjust effects in different settings to enhance gameplay, storytelling, and visual clarity
• Coordinate complex VFX sequences, ensuring timing and blending for realistic impact
• Generate simulations for game features like destruction, elemental effects, and environmental ambiance
• Optimize VFX for performance and memory usage while maintaining quality
• Collaborate with Art Direction, Design, and Engineering to align VFX with game vision and technical needs
• Supervise and mentor VFX team members, offering feedback, guidance, and professional growth
• Assist in establishing and refining the VFX pipeline for scalability and efficiency
• Uphold consistency with overall art direction while fostering innovation and creative excellence
• Minimum 7 years of experience creating VFX in real-time game engines
• At least 1 year of leadership or people management experience, including mentoring or VFX pipeline development
• Proficient with real-time engines like Unity or Unreal
• Strong skills in shader creation, particle systems, and VFX tools
• Proficiency in animation, timing, and understanding of motion and impact
• Artistic vision to translate reference materials into high-quality real-time effects
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across art, design, and engineering disciplines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and drive team productivity
