• Keep abreast of evidence-based educational practices and instructional design trends, leading our learning design team and processes to ensure alignment with these standards.
• Engage with districts, schools, teachers, and students to comprehend how our resources are utilized in classrooms, their efficacy in supporting teaching and learning practices, and their impact on student achievement.
• Develop, test, and refine prototype lessons with users to establish effective instructional approaches, advocating for an iterative content delivery methodology.
• Provide guidance for the creation of exemplary lessons and assessments, along with producing supporting documentation and briefs for writers and designers.
• Offer initial training and direction to content writers to ensure they meet requisite standards.
• Collaborate with internal content editors to provide ongoing feedback to content creators, staying connected with users to continuously enhance our content offerings.
• Utilize data and analytics to optimize learning and assessment design, working closely with the product lead to uphold the pedagogical quality and real-world relevance of our resources.
• Manage topic mapping, lesson sequencing, and learning objective creation to ensure logical progression and comprehensive coverage in each course.
• Ensure courses are meticulously aligned with the curriculum, establishing clear links between curriculum levels and progression in difficulty and complexity within each level.
• Oversee the structuring and organization of learning pathways to guarantee effective course management.
• Hold qualifications as an English teacher with practical classroom experience
• Demonstrate the ability to lead, inspire, and assist writers in delivering high-quality content within project deadlines
• Comfortably manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
• Possess strong interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships with internal teams, external partners, and users
• Be a collaborative team player capable of thriving in a cross-functional environment
• Experience coaching individuals to achieve excellence in instructional design
