• We are in search of an innovative Senior Art Director to spearhead the artistic vision and creative strategy for our New Game Concepts division. This role involves incubating original IPs and shaping new game experiences from the ground up. Currently, we have two projects in the concept phase, with more on the horizon.
• The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in early-stage game development, concept exploration, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Understanding player psychology, worldbuilding, theme resonance, and the business aspects of launching new IPs are crucial. You should be hands-on when needed and proficient in scaling teams and pipelines from initial sketches to prototypes.
• A key aspect of this role involves embracing the evolving role of AI in the creative process. Utilizing AI to accelerate worldbuilding, enhance exploration, generate innovative possibilities, and boost overall team creativity is vital.
• Responsibilities include defining and driving the visual identity of new IPs, leading theme exploration and worldbuilding, overseeing visual workshops, collaborating on prototyping and concept development, contributing to IP materials, and more.
• Demonstrated success in leading early-stage concept teams and launching new IPs or innovative game concepts.
• Strong understanding of player-centered design and the impact of art style on emotional resonance.
• Expertise in worldbuilding, narrative integration, and theme exploration.
• Hands-on experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal, etc.) and content pipelines.
• Curiosity and practical knowledge of integrating AI tools into creative workflows.
• Proficiency in at least one core art discipline (e.g., concept art, 3D modeling, VFX, animation, technical art).
• Ability to balance artistic integrity with performance, budget, and platform requirements.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Experience in start-up/small team and large studio environments.
• Familiarity with market trends in indie and experimental games, and working across mobile and PC platforms.
• Background in visual storytelling or narrative design (nice to have).
