Director - Product Design

📋 Description

• Take the lead in managing commonsku's product design practice with a combination of hands-on expertise and strategic guidance.

• Personally craft important product interfaces while cultivating and expanding a top-tier design team.

• Work closely with colleagues in Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver a seamless and exceptional user experience.

• Encourage collaboration across different functions through regular Design-Front-End syncs and PM-Design-Eng triad rituals.

• Promote the adoption of the design system within the organization.

• Advocate for evidence-based, user-centric decision-making at all levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 8+ years of product design experience within the realm of B2B SaaS platforms.

• Have at least 2 years of experience in managing people and teams.

• Demonstrate a track record of successfully leading teams while actively contributing to design projects.

• Showcase a robust portfolio featuring both implemented product designs and stewardship of design systems.

• Proficient in Figma, auto-layout, and token-based design systems.

• Skilled in coaching and nurturing designers in a remote work environment.

• Experience in expanding and nurturing a design team through recruitment and internal development.

• Possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable presenting to executives and clients in a manner tailored to their specific needs.

• Familiarity with generative-AI tools for Product Design.

• Bonus: Basic knowledge of front-end technologies like React/Storybook.
