• Job Overview
• We are at the forefront of designing immersive social experiences, including events, groups, hangouts, and unique moments of connection that are exclusive to VRChat.
• We are seeking a talented product designer to join our Experience team, where you will shape fundamental user experiences throughout the VRChat platform.
• In this role, you will oversee our design system across client, web, and mobile interfaces, establishing the groundwork for consistent design elements across all our products.
• Collaborate closely with our Experience Design Lead to redefine how users engage, socialize, and engage in shared experiences across different platforms.
• Take charge of our existing design system, ensuring its evolution to maintain product coherence, accessibility, and scalability across various platforms.
• This position is ideal for individuals who excel in system thinking, have a passion for expressive interaction design, and enjoy creating experiences that evoke presence, emotion, and connection.
• Partner with design leads, project managers, and engineers to develop key features supporting events, groups, and social interactions within VRChat.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure intuitive and delightful user experiences across desktop, mobile, and VR platforms.
• Design user flows, interactions, and UI elements that facilitate user discovery, participation, and engagement in social experiences, whether planned or spontaneous.
• Transform abstract concepts into tangible user experiences through wireframes, prototypes, and refined visuals using Figma.
• Utilize existing design system components, adhere to naming conventions, and justify the introduction of new patterns to enhance design consistency and minimize unnecessary revisions.
• Work closely with engineers to implement accessible, high-performing, and visually appealing UI elements aligned with our shared design language.
• Stay attuned to community behaviors and platform usage to inform design patterns that support real-world interactions and emerging social trends.
