• Lead the strategic direction of our components, UX patterns, and system-of-systems strategy to deliver Enterprise-scale platform experiences.
• Define and communicate design vision, ensuring high adoption rates across multiple products to provide tangible value to customers under your leadership.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure effective tooling, communication, and engagement strategies drive towards our ADS OKRs for adoption.
• Develop our ADS Components strategy to meet Enterprise needs and expand composition opportunities across Atlassian.
• Drive company-wide impact by leading programs from end-to-end, empowering designers and developers to create exceptional software.
• Partner with Lead/Principal designers across Atlassian to enhance design harmonization efforts and align them with ADS's mission.
• Work closely with Engineering Leads and cross-functional partners to influence our roadmap and prioritize opportunities.
• Maintain high design craft quality through expertise in visual and interaction design, systems design, and mentoring others in these areas.
• Mentor and guide team members to foster growth and excellence in design practices.
• Demonstrate a deep passion for design systems, sharing thought leadership within the team, company, and industry to create top-notch design system solutions and UI designs.
• Possess 12+ years of experience in design systems and product design within Enterprise or complex systems/organizations.
• Specialize in complex systems, serving as a technical expert in design systems for designer and developer workflows, effectively communicating complex systems across various touchpoints.
• Demonstrate developer knowledge and/or skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and architects, enhancing quality and productivity.
• Excel in user-centered design, bringing clarity to stakeholders, balancing their needs with those of customers, and navigating the design journey effectively.
• Exhibit strong visual and verbal communication skills to articulate design rationale and foster a culture of continuous feedback from executives to junior team members.
• Display strong collaboration skills, partnering with Design and Engineering leadership to craft thoughtful solutions.
