• Vimeo is currently seeking a Principal Product Designer to spearhead the design initiatives for Teams and Collaboration. This role involves shaping the design vision for team adoption and expansion, member roles, content access, invitation flows, and permissions.
• The ideal candidate should possess a proactive approach, excel in collaboration with various product teams at Vimeo, understand content management models, customer content search behavior, appreciate product simplicity, and demonstrate strong user empathy.

• Working closely with Product and Engineering counterparts, you will develop organizational models that align with industry standards and Vimeo's core use cases.
• Effective communication and proactive engagement with other product teams at Vimeo are crucial to ensure alignment and a shared understanding of architecture, leading to the design of simple and cohesive user experiences.
• Partnering with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams, you will contribute to launching and refining premium product features and experiences across web and mobile web platforms.
• From conceptualization to product release and beyond, you will be involved in crafting high-level user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes.
• Collaborating with Customer Insights and Data teams, you will directly interact with users to translate quantitative data and qualitative insights into well-informed design decisions and new product ideas.
• Efficiently managing timelines and workloads for concurrent projects involving two teams requires strong prioritization and self-management skills.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience as a product designer, user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role, coupled with expertise in visual/graphic design.
• Demonstrable visual design skills, proficiency in utilizing design systems, and a penchant for simplicity in UX and UI design.
• Profound familiarity with industry-standard UX practices and methodologies, with a proactive attitude towards seeking and providing feedback.
• Ability to drive design concepts from strategic discussions to hands-on design execution on a daily basis.
• Strong user-centered design skills, deep understanding of design principles, and proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools.
• Customer-focused approach, experience conducting user research studies, and utilizing appropriate tools to address core problems or validate designs.
• Data-oriented mindset, capable of leveraging product metrics to identify innovation opportunities and guide design decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, adept at articulating design visions and rationale to diverse audiences, from fellow designers to leadership teams.
• Skilled in driving cross-team alignment through exceptional design presentations, identifying and resolving miscommunications, and utilizing tools like design workshops.
• Ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of projects while collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners and fellow designers.
• Exhibiting leadership qualities, capable of mentoring other designers, providing support and guidance, and being a respected member of the design team.
• Ready to showcase a recent portfolio or samples of web/native app product design work influenced by quantitative or qualitative user research and the iterative process leading to their launch.
