Principal Product Designer - Visual

📋 Description

• We are currently in search of a Principal Product Designer, Visual who will take charge of enhancing and developing our visual design system while we undergo a comprehensive re-design and expansion of our app to include new features that align with our physical product and marketing strategy.

• This position will directly report to the VP of Product Design and will collaborate with various teams within Life360 to bring our member experience vision to life.

• As a rapidly growing company, it is crucial to provide the necessary tools, structure, environment, and high standards to enhance our design and attract top talent.

• The perfect candidate will excel in a remote work setting, showcasing exceptional communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with both the team and stakeholders.

• Responsible for aligning design innovation with business objectives, the Principal Product Designer, Visual will play a vital role in creating delightful and engaging experiences for our members, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve our ambitious objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 8+ years of experience in product design with a focus on high-quality visual design, interface design, and design systems.

• Showcase a portfolio demonstrating outstanding visual work in native mobile (iOS/Android), particularly in consumer-facing apps or platforms.

• Strong track record of leading redesigns or significant product transformations, with the ability to shape vision and guide execution through uncertainty.

• Proficiency in Figma and product prototyping, along with a solid understanding of how visuals can be translated into scalable systems and code.

• Ability to think at a system level while also being hands-on in design - capable of overseeing the big picture while paying attention to detail.

• Collaborative, strategic, and communicative individual who can align diverse teams towards a common vision.

• In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.

• Self-motivated and proactive - able to take the lead and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
