Product Design - Intern

📋 Description

• Work closely with Product Designers to establish interaction design standards and best practices for Human-AI collaboration

• Collaborate with Product Designers and UI Developers to develop and oversee development-ready Figma UI components for both customer-facing and internal applications

• Generate new product concepts by utilizing company and industry data to uncover innovative opportunities

• Partner with technology and business stakeholders to recognize product potentials and transform vague concepts into tangible design solutions and user-friendly experiences

• Conduct thorough competitive product research and aid in identifying unique selling points in partnership with product and business team members

• Produce wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to investigate and convey user interface designs at different fidelity levels

• Keep abreast of product design trends and AI tools, and share insights with the team

• Perform any other tasks as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Seeking junior or senior undergraduate, or graduate students majoring in Product/UX Design, HCI, or related fields

• Must possess a robust portfolio showcasing a variety of product design projects

• Demonstrates a curious and creative mindset, with a dedication to solving problems in inventive ways

• Proficient in Figma or similar design and prototyping tools

• Experience working with design systems and reusable UI components

• Interest or background in Human-AI interaction design and emerging technology applications

• Strong visual design abilities, with a keen eye for detail, layout, and hierarchy

• Comfortable engaging in brainstorming sessions, collecting feedback from users or stakeholders, and testing ideas

• Possesses critical thinking skills, challenging assumptions, asking the right questions, and delving deep into problems to discover effective design solutions

• Solid grasp of product design best practices, including responsive design, component-based design, and accessibility standards like WCAG 2.1 AA

• Excellent communication skills - adept at clearly expressing design ideas, feedback, and decisions visually, verbally, and in writing

• Keen interest in staying updated with design trends, tools, and technologies, and applying new methods to enhance product experiences

• Curiosity about the housing and mortgage industry, and how design and technology can impact business success
