• In the role of Product Designer at 7shifts, you will be tasked with crafting intuitive user experiences that address customer challenges and tackle significant issues within the restaurant industry.
• Working under the guidance of the Product Design Manager, you will collaborate with various teams such as Product, Data, Product Marketing, and Engineering to take ownership of a crucial aspect of our product experience.
• Engage in the complete design process, conduct research, and develop products that streamline team management and enhance restaurant performance.
• Foster an inclusive work environment that reflects the diverse nature of the industry we serve, welcoming candidates from all backgrounds.
• Generate ideas, develop prototypes, and test concepts with customers.
• Create exceptional experiences that enhance the efficiency of team management in restaurants.
• Work closely with cross-functional and design teams to deliver straightforward and user-friendly products.
• Stay connected with customers to comprehend their requirements, challenges, and objectives through interviews, tests, and observations.
• Gather feedback from teammates, stakeholders, and customers continuously to ensure products meet customer needs and business goals.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement designs and uphold product quality.
• Establish expertise in your product area and introduce forward-thinking concepts beneficial to customers.
• Engage in Design team activities, projects, and rituals to foster team growth and scalability.
• Prior experience in a Product Design role, collaborating in cross-functional teams within a SaaS environment.
• Proficient communication skills to explain design choices and advocate for customer needs.
• Familiarity with digital design tools like Figma and collaborative platforms.
• Expertise in various design process methods including research, problem-solving, ideation, prototyping, validation, and iteration.
• A portfolio demonstrating web and/or mobile designs from previous projects.
• Bonus points for experience with Agile software development practices and the restaurant-tech industry.
