• Perform thorough user research, ergonomic assessments, and workflow evaluations within the plant to pinpoint areas for design enhancements.
• Take charge of brainstorming, conceptualizing, and crafting cutting-edge physical products, tools, and mechanical systems utilized in manufacturing.
• Generate and refine 3D models, technical drawings, and design specifications using popular CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Work closely with diverse teams—engineering, production, safety, and quality assurance—to ensure technical viability and operational harmony.
• Construct and assess functional prototypes using rapid prototyping techniques and conduct on-site trials to validate performance and user satisfaction.
• Apply principles of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) to guarantee cost-effective, scalable, and production-ready solutions.
• Maintain precise design documentation, including BOMs, change logs, and compliance records.
• Keep updated on emerging trends in materials, industrial design, and factory automation technologies.
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Have at least 4 years of experience in physical product design, particularly in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Autodesk, or equivalent) and 3D rendering tools.
• Showcase expertise in prototyping, mechanical testing, and design validation.
• Exhibit a solid grasp of materials science, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics.
• Ability to integrate technical requirements, user insights, and operational objectives into coherent design solutions.
• Possess excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Fluency in Spanish required; proficiency in English is highly desirable.
