Product Designer

📋 Description

• At Thatch, design is one of the defining traits that puts us in a class of our own.

• You’ll collaborate across all user interfaces, crafting polished, intuitive experiences that delight our users and drive meaningful impact.

• As an early member of Thatch’s design team, you’ll craft beautiful experiences for people using our product every day: businesses, their teams, and brokers.

• You’ll impact everything design related, including UI components for our design system, new products involving complex user interactions, and the design team’s strategy and vision.

• Your work will lead the way for a better insurance experience that enables members to get the healthcare benefits they need and make them feel calm, fulfilled, and liberated.

• We're looking for someone who can meet users where they are in their journey and inspire trust by delivering simple, beautiful, and crafted end-to-end experiences.

• You should be comfortable owning the entire design experience, from UX strategy to product design and company branding.

• Participate in and shape every part of the product development process, from idea inception to production.

• Work cross-functionally with engineering, growth, product, sales, operations, and leadership to create incredible user experiences.

• Develop and maintain the design system and brand assets we’ll use across the company.

• Write design documentation and guidelines for internal audiences.

• Iterate on and improve our design standards, tooling, and processes.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in product design roles

• Obsession with understanding and serving users and, ultimately, making their lives better

• Demonstrated first principle thinking and mastery of fundamental design principles

• Experience operating in ambiguous environments solving complex user problems

• Ability to balance blue sky creativity and dedication to craft with bias to action

• Ability to read and/or write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Background scaling high growth technology companies in the past

• Experience or interest in finance, healthcare, or benefits
