Senior Learning Experience Designer

📋 Description

• Create and develop top-notch educational materials, including digital and instructor-led courses, presentations, labs, and evaluations that meet specific learning objectives

• Utilize expertise in instructional design to assess courses, suggest enhancements, and elevate our learning resources

• Implement instructional design techniques and adult learning principles to craft engaging and effective training solutions

• Work closely with subject matter experts, curriculum developers, and various teams to ensure content aligns with product updates and business objectives

• Collaborate with teammates to design, plan, analyze, and maintain interactive learning experiences that cater to self-paced and virtual delivery formats

• Contribute to the development and upkeep of technical systems, tools, and environments that facilitate scalable and consistent training programs

• Aid in creating certification and exam content, including item creation and scoring criteria

• Continuously enhance content based on learner input, new product features, and industry best practices

• Stay updated on the latest features of GitLab and ensure content accuracy and relevance

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in roles like curriculum developer, technical trainer, or consulting engineer in a subscription/SaaS setting

• Solid grasp of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and learning theories

• Proficiency in eLearning tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Captivate, Clueso, and Camtasia, as well as productivity tools like Adobe Acrobat, Google Suite, and Microsoft 365

• Hands-on familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, security features, DevSecOps workflows, and knowledge of software development lifecycle, DevOps practices, and cloud-native technologies

• Skills in graphic design or multimedia development

• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning standards such as xAPI and SCORM

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

• Experience in designing and delivering curriculum to large enterprise audiences

• Familiarity with open-source communities and software

• Relevant certifications like GitLab Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified Trainer
