• Participate in design reviews and project meetings
• Effectively communicate configuration considerations for product design
• Provide feedback on timelines and processing constraints
• Define configuration activities scope with development teams
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure information accuracy
• Communicate documentation issues and solutions to the development team
• Generate impact assessment documentation and implementation preparation
• Create Parts Maps for product impact determination and implementation planning
• Prepare all necessary documents for Configuration (e.g. BOM, Routings, Product Specifications)
• Lead problem-solving efforts for Product Transfer/Change Control Activities
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and provide solutions recommendations
• Support departmental training program and tool development
• May lead and mentor others
• Ensure compliance with document and record control as per quality and regulatory requirements
• Write SOPs as required
• Specific duties may vary based on departmental needs
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Research Development, Product Transfer, Quality, or related department required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in product commercialization with hands-on work in quality assurance, manufacturing, product transfer, and/or product development strongly preferred
• Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech industry preferred
• Experience with Change Control and/or Document Control processes required
• Experience with ERP systems like JD Edwards EnterpriseOne desired
• Experience with PLM systems such as Aras Innovator desired
