• Take charge of the complete design process from initial exploration to prototyping, testing, and handoff; provide detailed visuals, interaction specifications, and documentation for immediate implementation by engineers.
• Collaborate closely with client engineers throughout the project lifecycle, engaging in discussions on feasibility, making tradeoffs, and refining designs based on technical limitations and possibilities.
• Collaborate with client Product and Engineering teams to grasp objectives and user requirements; transform goals into innovative design solutions that propel their project forward.
• Emphasize a mobile-first approach; craft experiences tailored for mobile devices while considering desktop and tablet usability when necessary.
• Conduct user research and usability tests; distill insights into actionable suggestions and present findings confidently to stakeholders.
• Lead design workshops and feedback sessions with clients; articulate design rationale effectively, receive feedback constructively, and foster alignment within their organization.
• Establish and expand client design systems; define standards customized to their needs, ensure consistency across platforms, and create documentation for their teams to maintain.
• Communicate design strategy and progress clearly to stakeholders; advocate for design-centric solutions while remaining adaptable to business requirements.
• Pay close attention to details—consider edge cases, scalability, cultural nuances, accessibility, and multi-device/multi-language aspects.
• Serve as a trusted design consultant; share expertise, identify areas for growth, and assist clients in enhancing their design capabilities over time.
• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering product design at scale; demonstrated track record of overseeing significant product areas from start to finish with expertise in mobile design and mobile-first approach—preference for agency, startup, or consulting background.
• Proficiency in visual and interaction design with strong prototyping skills; uphold high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail across various scenarios and contexts.
• 0-1 years of product design experience or solid startup background—able to make decisions in uncertain environments and operate swiftly in ambiguous settings.
• Knowledgeable about crypto or quick to learn about web3—familiarity with onchain activities, wallets, dApps, DeFi fundamentals, and blockchain services (or eager to quickly enhance knowledge).
• Natural ability to translate complex technical systems into user-friendly, accessible UX suitable for both experienced users and newcomers to crypto.
• Strong collaboration skills between design and engineering teams; adept at providing detailed specifications, discussing feasibility, and iterating based on practical implementation.
• Proficient in Figma with experience contributing to design systems; capable of building scalable frameworks for long-term team maintenance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills; influence decisions through clear design rationale and align recommendations with client business objectives.
• Comfortable working independently, managing time effectively, and thriving in dynamic, sometimes chaotic environments.
• Demonstrated portfolio showcasing user-centered problem-solving, transparent design processes, and successful launches in fintech, blockchain, or similarly intricate sectors.
