•As the Senior Product Designer, Identity at Upstart, you will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and security experts to establish direction, conduct user research, and create seamless identity experiences throughout our platform.

•Your focus will be on streamlining authentication, registration, and account recovery processes while upholding stringent standards for security, transparency, and user autonomy.

•Your role will be pivotal in shaping user interactions with Upstart's products, crafting identity experiences that are seamless, trustworthy, and empowering.

⛳️ Requirements

•Possess over 7 years of experience in designing consumer-facing digital products, emphasizing secure user journeys and identity-related functionalities (e.g., login, registration, authentication).

•Showcase a robust portfolio highlighting comprehensive design thinking that caters to user requirements and security protocols.

•Proficient in Figma and design research tools like Usertesting, Maze, or Lookback.

•Demonstrate expertise in balancing usability and privacy, with a zeal for simplifying intricate or sensitive user processes.

•Effective communicator and collaborator, adept at presenting designs, receiving feedback, and working across various domains including security, compliance, and engineering.

•Experience in designing for identity systems or IAM platforms (e.g., SSO, OAuth, multi-factor authentication, account recovery).

•Familiarity with identity platforms (Auth0, Okta, Keycloak, AWS Cognito) or authentication standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML).

•Background in regulated sectors such as fintech, healthcare, or enterprise software.

•In-depth knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design, particularly in critical trust-based workflows.

•Ability to navigate trade-offs between business objectives, risk management, and user experience in security-focused environments.
