📋 Description

• Playing a crucial role in comprehending our customers' motivations, objectives, requirements, behaviors, challenges, and expectations to guide design and product choices

• Advocating for the user throughout the product life cycle, engaging with customers via research and feedback sessions, site visits, usability testing, focus groups, and user conferences to spark ideas and guide design decisions

• Analyzing data from research and various sources (such as data analytics and sales) to extract insights and practical recommendations for our product teams

• Utilizing quantitative and qualitative research insights, rapid iteration, and testing to develop data-driven, user-centric solutions

• Creating prototypes, conducting tests, and making iterations

• Transitioning between 'discovery' mode (prototyping ideas and gathering feedback) and 'delivery' mode (perfecting the flow, interactions, and accessibility)

• Addressing immediate design needs and providing incremental value to users while progressing towards long-term goals

• Collaborating closely with product teams as an equal member alongside product managers, developers, and data scientists to bring your concepts to fruition and contribute to the strategic product roadmap

• Operating autonomously, assuming full ownership of your work and accountability for every detail, from initial sketching to final designs that are implemented

• Actively participating in our design community, exchanging ideas, enhancing skills in AI utilization, and contributing to knowledge-sharing sessions

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a user researcher/product designer for web and mobile platforms

• Proficiency in conducting research like usability testing

• Demonstrated expertise in UX design and interaction design

• Proficient in creating simple, inclusive, and refined products that cater to all device screen sizes

• Impressive portfolio demonstrating strong user-centered design practices and user research

• Team player and exceptional communicator who simplifies complexity, tells engaging stories, and secures approval for crucial design choices

• Familiarity with inclusive design principles and accessibility standards

• Fluent in both written and spoken English

• Preferred: Experience in service design, working across various systems and touchpoints

• Knowledge of UK and European Higher Ed markets

• Experience in designing and collaborating with AI and machine learning technologies

• Proven ability to effectively collaborate with remote, globally dispersed teams, fostering strong relationships across diverse cultures and work styles
