• Take the lead on customer-focused projects within the Customer Experience team to enhance Ascendon's SaaS offering and support client project delivery.
• Engage as a comprehensive designer throughout the design process—from initial research and idea generation to prototyping, testing, and final delivery, emphasizing user-centered solutions.
• Develop and enhance detailed prototypes with a particular emphasis on interface, interaction, and visual design, ensuring adherence to usability best practices and accessibility standards.
• Assist in user research tasks as required—such as crafting personas, mapping user journeys, or conducting usability tests—to guide design choices and enhance user experiences.
• Contribute to the maintenance and advancement of a versatile, multi-channel design system, promoting consistency and effectiveness across various platforms and brands.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, engineers, and QA teams on the strategic direction and specific client projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in UX/UI design roles, supported by a degree in a design-related field, and a keen interest in technology and innovative design.
• A user-focused mindset with a strong emphasis on creating user-friendly, accessible, and meaningful experiences that align with user needs and business objectives throughout the design process.
• Proficient in research methodologies such as persona development, journey mapping, and usability testing, with a readiness to adapt and enhance research skills as required.
• Comfortable designing responsive interfaces for various platforms, including native and web, to ensure an optimal user experience across different devices and screen sizes.
• Demonstrated experience in working with and contributing to design systems and pattern libraries, utilizing atomic design principles to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency in design solutions.
• Skilled in collaborating with engineers, QA teams, and senior management to translate technical requirements into coherent and efficient design solutions.
• Committed to lean, agile methodologies, with a problem-solving approach to design, and a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation in design practices.
