• Transform complex and ambiguous problems into simple, intuitive, and valuable products to support our mission and address customer needs.
• Bring product ideas to life through creating journey maps, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, pixel-perfect UI, and interaction designs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and prioritize product requirements.
• Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and user-centered design process details to senior management and in team meetings.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and practices within the team and organization.
• Iterate quickly on multiple projects to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in researching, designing, and launching software products/features.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating your thought process and work style.
• Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes uncertain environment.
• Demonstrates humility, empathy, and open-mindedness - values teamwork over individual egos.
• Nice to have: Experience in early-stage startups (<100 engineers), AI product development, complex UX workflows, enterprise software, observability, mapping, monitoring, alerting products, or a passion for climate change adaptation and firefighting.
