• Take ownership of the entire design process—from conducting customer research and defining problems to creating high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and refining iteratively based on user feedback
• Devote a significant amount of time to interacting with end-users (30%+ of your week)— engage in user research with contractors and office managers, observe their workflows, and deeply comprehend the issues we are addressing
• Design various aspects of our product— develop user-friendly experiences for our contractor-facing mobile app, internal tools for office managers, and AI-driven workflow automation systems
• Influence product strategy and direction— collaborate with the CEO and CTO to determine what to build, why it is important, and how to prioritize, always bringing a user-centric approach to all product decisions
• Strategize AI-driven workflows— devise ways for AI agents and human expertise to seamlessly collaborate, ensuring that automation is perceived as reliable and trustworthy for non-technical users
• Establish design fundamentals— construct design systems, interaction patterns, and quality standards that allow us to consistently deliver exceptional experiences as we expand
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in product design with a compelling portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work from research to product delivery
• Proficiency in modern design tools (such as Figma) and the ability to produce high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and design systems
• Strong skills in customer research and understanding user needs— adept at listening, observing, synthesizing insights, and translating them into elegant design solutions
• Product-oriented mindset and strategic thinking— grasp business objectives and assess how design choices impact the overall product and company
• Demonstrated interest in AI— experience experimenting with AI-powered tools and comprehending their impact on product experiences
• Comfort with designing for complexity— capable of simplifying intricate, multi-step workflows and making them intuitive
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities— proficient in explaining design decisions clearly and collaborating effectively with founders, engineers, and operations teams
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous and early-stage environments— excel in situations where there is no established playbook and you need to navigate uncharted territory
