Senior Product Designer, Runner Fleet

📋 Description

• In this role as the Product Designer for our Runner Fleet team, you will be responsible for creating user-friendly management interfaces and dashboards to help platform administrators efficiently handle their build infrastructure at an enterprise level. This includes identifying performance bottlenecks and reducing operational costs.

• Collaborate with the Product Manager and Engineering Manager in your team to tackle complex data visualization challenges and ensure that enterprise customers can effectively scale their development operations.

• Your designs will cater to some of the largest development teams globally, managing thousands of runners and handling massive CI/CD workloads.

• Work closely with the CI/CD and AI/ML teams to design predictive insights and machine learning-driven recommendations that aid customers in optimizing their CI/CD operations.

• Share your design concepts through wireframes, prototypes, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity visual designs.

• Engage with our user base and GitLab community to grasp the pain points in CI/CD infrastructure management.

• Contribute to the Design System in collaboration with the UX team and GitLab community.


⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in designing B2B/Enterprise software tailored for intricate workflows, administrative interfaces, and SaaS products aimed at mid to large organizations.

• Background in designing developer tools, particularly in DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure management, and technical product interfaces.

• Demonstrated expertise in user research methods such as usability testing, user interviews, and solution validation.

• Experience in fostering collaboration among various product teams and stakeholders.

• Proficiency in data visualization design, including dashboards, metric interfaces, and analytics UX.

• Proficiency in Figma, encompassing prototyping, design systems, component libraries, and collaborative design workflows.

• Familiarity with Git and understanding of CI/CD workflows and infrastructure concepts.

• Portfolio showcasing intricate enterprise software design solutions with measurable user impact.
