• Take ownership of the entire design process, from initial research and discovery to delivering polished, production-ready interfaces
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to define, design, and launch impactful video tools and experiences
• Develop user-friendly workflows for video creation, editing, management, and collaboration
• Utilize qualitative and quantitative insights to make informed, user-centric design decisions
• Create flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design specs that simplify complex video processes into elegant and practical solutions
• Advocate for creators and marketers by understanding their needs, challenges, and objectives to design effective video workflows
• Enhance the design system to ensure consistency and scalability across all video product interfaces
• Provide and solicit feedback to elevate the quality standards within the design team
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in product design, preferably in SaaS or creative tools
• Demonstrated experience in working with video-related products, such as editing platforms, UGC creation tools, media libraries, or social video applications
• Profound understanding of UX design principles, visual hierarchy, and motion design tailored for video interfaces
• Portfolio showcasing comprehensive design work highlighting your ability to streamline creative workflows
• Proficiency in Figma, prototyping tools, and familiarity with design systems
• Ability to balance user empathy with business objectives, translating insights into actionable design strategies
• Comfortable taking the lead on projects and making informed decisions supported by data, research, and user feedback
• Strong communication skills to effectively articulate design choices across various teams
• Bonus points for (optional): Experience in designing platforms focused on video content or creators, Familiarity with AI-driven video tools (auto-editing, transcription, motion effects, etc.), Understanding of video workflows from capture to post-production and distribution, Experience in designing motion, interaction, or micro-animations to enhance UI engagement, Basic knowledge of front-end implementation to understand possibilities and development process, Passion for storytelling, media, and emerging video trends
