• Responsible for designing and developing a diverse range of home products, specifically focusing on soft home goods, decor accents, and print design for items like bed & bath products and lifestyle decor.
• Collaborate closely with the VP of Design and cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with brand vision and are ready for production.
• Create original graphic designs and pattern designs suitable for printing on soft home and decor products.
• Develop cohesive collections by curating color palettes and enforcing brand color standards from concept to prototype.
• Review samples, make adjustments for color and print accuracy, and work with suppliers to meet production standards.
• Prepare detailed product specifications including dimensions, materials, finishes, and production requirements for decor accents and lifestyle items.
• Research and interpret mass market trends to create product concepts that resonate with customers and reflect brand direction.
• Manage the entire product development process from concept sketches to production-ready specifications.
• Balance creativity with cost and quality requirements to meet brand standards and FOB targets.
• Oversee prototype development and approvals to ensure products align with design vision and merchandising goals.
• Adapt designs based on feedback, production needs, and market trends.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in designing home products, specializing in soft goods and decor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Product Development, Textiles, or related creative/technical field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design tools.
• Knowledge of fabrications, materials, printing methods, and product development processes.
• Ability to research trends, understand customer needs, and incorporate them into new designs.
• Passion for home decor, lifestyle trends, and creating customer-centric products.
