• Produce character content of expert quality within set deadlines and performance goals.
• Collaborate with Art Directors and Lead Artists to define and maintain art direction for the game.
• Mentor and support team members following established workflows.
• Coordinate work for various resources, including creating briefs and reviewing deliveries.
• Explore and implement techniques to enhance efficiency and visual quality in character art creation.
• Assist in setting and maintaining performance targets and ensuring proper art implementation in the game engine.
• Create documentation in Confluence and manage tasks in JIRA or equivalent tools.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.
• Proficiency in Maya (or Max), Substance Painter, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, and Photoshop.
• Experience in generating normal maps from high poly models and working with PBR shaders.
• Familiarity with node-based shader networks like those in Unreal Engine and Substance Designer.
• Knowledge of source control systems like Perforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong skills in human and animal anatomy, hair creation, organic and hard surface modeling, and traditional painting.
• Ability to create models and shaders across various art styles and meet tight deadlines.
