Civil Design Manager, Data Center Sites

📋 Description

• Supervise a diverse range of greenfield and add/move/change projects for colocation and hyper-scale data centers.

• Manage the design of industrial and data center civil and utility infrastructure.

• Lead data center due diligence, planning, and design teams.

• Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans.

• Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders.

• Proactively manage and communicate changes throughout the project.

• Identify and mitigate project risks with innovative solutions.

• Develop technical and financial proposals for new and add/move/change data center design projects.

• Cultivate trusting relationships with client and sub/partner consultant stakeholders.

• Mentor junior staff and support their professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, along with eight (8) years of relevant experience or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or education.

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.

• Demonstrated experience in colocation and hyperscale data center projects.

• Master’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, or Business Administration (preferred).

• 6 years of relevant experience in industrial and data center design and/or project management (preferred).

• Lean Six Sigma Certification (preferred).

• Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Professional (preferred).

• Active or recent leadership in data center and mission-critical trade organization (preferred).

• Excellent communication skills (written/oral) (preferred).

• Ability to work effectively in dynamic, time-sensitive situations with minimal supervision (preferred).

• Strong team leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills (preferred).
