• Take ownership of major creation/editor bets from start to finish, including problem framing, outcomes, and iteration.
• Establish a design vision for key editor components and influence other product areas for consistency.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to define the standards of excellence and drive towards achieving them.
• Quickly prototype and test interaction models, understanding when high-fidelity is necessary.
• Elevate the quality of interaction design, UI, systems thinking, and overall user experience across the creation process.
• Demonstrated experience in designing complex, high-usage product surfaces such as creation tools, editors, and collaboration/canvas-based products.
• Strong skills in interaction design and UI, with a proven track record of delivering work that enhances the product experience.
• Ability to thrive in uncertain situations, providing clear direction in ambiguous problem spaces without waiting for perfect clarity.
• Understanding of systems thinking and how product architecture influences user experience beyond just screen design.
• Excellent communication skills in design reviews and cross-functional decision-making environments.
• Utilize user feedback to ensure product alignment with customer needs and expectations.
• Address complex challenges and contribute to the development of a well-designed SaaS tool.
• Contribute to fast-paced product development and iterative processes within a dynamic team environment.
• Solve critical UX issues and shape the future of Synthesia from conceptualization to execution.
