Product Design Director

📋 Description

• Take the lead in guiding and mentoring a growing team of product designers, offering feedback, development opportunities, and direction

• Drive the entire design process from initial research and brainstorming to final execution, ensuring top-notch user experiences

• Work closely with team members to outline requirements, prioritize features, and tackle complex challenges with elegant solutions

• Champion user-centered design, making sure that customer feedback is central to all decisions

• Help shape and enhance our design culture, procedures, and standards, fostering a collaborative and high-performance atmosphere

• Provide design leadership across various projects, balancing speed, quality, and scalability in a dynamic startup setting

• Conduct design critiques, reviews, and workshops to encourage open and constructive feedback

• Plan projects, set milestones, evaluate risks, generate actionable insights, and ensure project deadlines are met

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of product design experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity

• Background in designing for various device experiences and platforms

• Impressive portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design for web and/or mobile products

• Proven track record of leading and developing a design team, with a hands-on approach when necessary

• Experience in fast-paced, agile environments, preferably in startup or high-growth settings

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to cross-functional teams and executives

• Passion for solving complex problems and creating exceptional user experiences that make a difference

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to express viewpoints and challenge partners and stakeholders respectfully with new design concepts
