• Responsible for establishing and maintaining the visual direction of projects across various IPs and styles, demonstrating flexibility in adapting to different title styles.
• Lead the development of characters, environments, key art, props, and visual storytelling.
• Ensure consistency in visual quality and narrative coherence throughout all concept work.
• Supervise and mentor a team of concept artists with diverse skill levels.
• Offer clear and actionable feedback through reviews and paintovers.
• Support artist growth and contribute to assessment and career development processes.
• Collaborate closely with clients and producers to fulfill creative expectations.
• Assist in project planning, creative strategy, and milestone assessments.
• Aid Art Directors with additional guidance and client feedback as necessary.
• Contribute creatively to new business proposals and visual strategies.
• Evaluate project feasibility, visual objectives, and resource allocation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and workflows relevant to concept art.
• Ensure final submissions meet RedhotCG and client quality standards.
• Collaborate with Production and Pipeline teams to enhance documentation and processes.
• Actively contribute to workflow improvement by suggesting and implementing enhanced tools and methods.
• Prior experience working on AAA game titles in a Senior Concept Artist or Art Director capacity.
• Portfolio showcasing a variety of styles, creativity, and skillful craftsmanship.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to facilitate coordination between internal and external teams and deliver precise feedback.
• Exceptional organizational abilities to accurately estimate tasks and manage schedules effectively.
• Familiarity with other game art disciplines, their workflows, and constraints (animation, character design, environment creation, VFX).
• Experience working within a team in a high-pressure production environment.
