• Take ownership of the design vision for our consumer-facing platform on mobile and web
• Create flows that enhance user trust and reduce friction when sharing sensitive information, understanding cancer risk, and navigating next steps during stressful times
• Simplify complex risk assessments and diagnostic pathways into user-friendly experiences
• Collaborate closely with C-suite, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless experiences aligned with our business goals
• Conduct user research and testing to continuously enhance the user experience
• Develop and refine design systems, principles, and best practices
• Maintain high design standards while balancing speed and quality in a dynamic startup environment
• Establish a foundation for building and mentoring a design team in the future
• 6-10+ years of experience in consumer product design
• Hands-on UI/UX design experience in consumer-facing products, particularly in the health tech sector
• Ability to simplify complex concepts into intuitive, user-centered experiences
• Deep empathy for users and proficiency in designing for sensitive situations
• Strong understanding of design systems and experience in scaling them
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across different disciplines
• Comfortable with ambiguity and making informed decisions quickly
• Passion for using design to create meaningful impacts on people's lives
• Familiarity with behavioral science or behavior change design (Nice to Have)
• Experience with 0-to-1 or early-stage product development (Nice to Have)
• Background in healthcare, diagnostics, or regulated industries (Nice to Have)
