• Supervise and guide a team of production designers, fostering a culture of teamwork, responsibility, and excellence in craftsmanship
• Manage the implementation, upkeep, and evolution of Airbnb's design systems to ensure uniformity, accessibility, and readiness across various platforms
• Collaborate with feature teams and marketing creatives to streamline production processes and deliver high-quality assets
• Establish and enhance production workflows, including defining clear handoff procedures and closely collaborating with design experts
• Ensure design accuracy by working closely with engineering partners through hands-on quality assurance and scalable implementation checks
• Identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities in partnership with design technologists and internal tool developers
• Develop and maintain documentation, redlines, templates, and specifications to enhance designer productivity and cross-functional understanding
• Enhance components, iconography, and UI patterns while maintaining system consistency across all product interfaces
• Establish team practices that promote mentorship, development, and strong collaboration with partner teams
• Minimum of 10 years experience in production design, design systems, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
• Proficient in managing large-scale production and design systems, including system migrations and introducing teams to new libraries
• Extensive expertise in Figma, including variables, components, and branching workflows, along with familiarity with tools like Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Strong background in specification development, redlining, accessibility, and localization
• Knowledge of DevMode or other handoff tools, with a clear grasp of modern production and engineering processes
• Skilled in collaborating with engineers to ensure quality assurance processes and maintain implementation accuracy
• Experience in driving tooling enhancements or contributing to automation initiatives is advantageous
• Proficiency in tools such as Lotti, C4D, Photoshop & Illustrator would be a valuable asset
