• Take charge of the complete experience design for athenahealth.com and various paid ecosystems such as search, display, social, and syndication.

• Craft and enhance a UX strategy that merges user requirements with business objectives to create a unified experience framework.

• Chart out and enhance cross-channel journeys to ensure a consistent message, design, and experience from initial awareness to conversion.

• Transform audience and behavioral research findings into practical experience strategies that smoothly guide users across different media and web platforms.

• Generate journey maps, prototypes, wireframes, and experience blueprints to outline the optimal user path and lead diverse teams (e.g., creative, content) in delivering connected experiences.

• Head the user research department within marketing, defining the strategy for discovery and validation research methods like interviews, usability testing, behavioral analysis, surveys, and A/B testing.

• Collaborate with analytics teams to merge qualitative insights with quantitative performance data.

• Establish and uphold a comprehensive digital experience journey with refined journey maps and behavioral models that act as core tools across teams.

• Develop and oversee a testing and optimization roadmap covering paid and owned experiences—emphasizing not just conversion but also experience quality, engagement, usability, and content effectiveness.

• Team up with analytics and MarTech teams to set experience performance metrics measuring the success of each journey in fulfilling user intent, brand perception, and business targets.

• Lead by example by actively participating in journey design, testing, and research synthesis.

• Create standardized processes for experience intake, prioritization, and delivery that balance agility and creative excellence.

• Deliver insights, hypotheses, and design outcomes to marketing and executive leadership with clarity and impact.


⛳️ Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Possess over 10 years of experience in digital experience design, UX strategy, or digital marketing, with a focus on user research and journey optimization.

• Demonstrate a track record of translating user research and data into effective digital experiences that drive measurable business results.

• Possess in-depth knowledge of UX research methodologies like usability testing, interviews, behavioral analytics, and surveys.

• Proficient in UX and analytics tools such as Figma, Lucid, Hotjar, and Adobe Analytics.

• Capable of influencing senior stakeholders with research-based recommendations.

• Preference for experience in intricate, multi-segment B2B or healthcare environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate through ambiguity to define and solve complex problems.
