📋 Description

• Lead and drive a fully operational UX design capability within an integrated Agile Scrum team, collaborating with product managers, engineers, People, and Data Scientists

• Develop and nurture a team of designers, enhancing their focus, independence, and professional development

• Spearhead experience-focused projects with various teams (Marketing, Product, Go-To-Market, Customer Success, etc.)

• Collaborate across product development areas to ensure the delivery of engaging and user-friendly experiences

• Oversee efforts to ensure Energage’s products offer valuable experiences for all users, regardless of abilities

• Chair Energage’s Front End Guild to enhance customer experiences holistically

• Communicate design principles and methods effectively, with expertise in related research methodologies

• Lead the implementation of cutting-edge customer discovery and testing techniques to validate user needs and opportunities

• Manage design operations, applications, and infrastructures effectively

• Stay competitive against industry trends and competitor products

• Coach teams on creating user-centric designs through participation in design critiques and iteration meetings

• Establish goals, objectives, and action plans for team and individual growth

• Work efficiently within a dual-track agile product development process.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience leading design teams that delivered commercial software with measurable outcomes

• Expertise in modern UX and research methodologies, accessibility standards, and agile product delivery

• Background in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Visual Design, or related fields

• Experience coaching teams using frameworks inspired by industry experts, focusing on problem discovery and outcome-based goals

• Minimum 7 years of design experience with at least 3 years managing a design team in a commercial software setting

• Commitment to personal growth and learning

• Familiarity with design operations technologies like Figma, InVision, Sketch, FullStory, etc.

• Strong presentation and leadership skills internally and externally

• Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders to champion design-centric operations

• Excellent communication, storytelling, and influence skills at all levels
