Director of Product Design

📋 Description

• Enhance the quality of user experience and ensure platform consistency

• Refine current UX practices and elevate standards across key areas

• Implement impactful improvements to interaction patterns, usability, and coherence

• Shape early AI-centric, Adaptive Defence experiences

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to establish user-centered AI principles

• Lead the development of prototypes and initial concepts for AI copilots, adaptive dashboards, and contextual guidance

• Evolve and promote the adoption of our design system

• Manage and enhance the existing design system; enhance governance, consistency, and engineer engagement

• Focus on practical enhancements that streamline delivery processes and enhance overall coherence

• Establish and structure the Design organization

• Define roles, team setup, and career growth plans for a developing Design team

• Mentor and support current Design Lead; establish effective design practices

• Strengthen collaboration among teams and implement build-test-learn cycles

• Ensure early involvement of Design in exploration phases; advocate for rapid prototyping and iterative development

• Assist teams in adopting more iterative, data-driven decision-making processes

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of design leadership experience, managing teams of at least 5 designers

• 7-10 years of experience in product/UX design, preferably in B2B SaaS

• Proven track record of enhancing UX quality and consistency in complex product environments

• Experience in evolving and driving the adoption of an existing design system

• Strong product mindset and ability to influence cross-functional teams

• "Player-coach" mentality with experience in AI-assisted workflows

• Desirable: Exposure to Enterprise/security domains; Mentoring experience with design leads; Familiarity with designing accessible products
