• PandaDoc is in search of a Senior Product Designer who specializes in Design Systems to ensure visual and functional consistency throughout the product by shaping and advancing the design system.
• Responsibilities include contributing to the development, documentation, and upkeep of the design system, as well as collaborating with designers, engineers, and product managers to facilitate the use of reusable components.
• The design system, called Thesis, is founded on three main pillars: Development, Design, Documentation.
• System Thinking & Execution: Take ownership of and enhance the core elements of the design system—from tokens and components to patterns and guidelines. Ensure scalability across platforms while supporting product usability, performance, and visual coherence.
• Design Process: Lead independently in the end-to-end process of designing, documenting, and validating reusable components and patterns. Strive to balance user requirements, design excellence, and technical feasibility to deliver robust system solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and PMs across different areas to ensure system adoption and alignment. Facilitate seamless integration of components into product experiences and aid teams in designing within system constraints.
• Contribution & Governance: Identify and rectify inconsistencies in existing components. Enhance the contribution process by establishing clear standards, reviewing proposals, and ensuring coherent evolution of the system.
• Documentation & Tooling: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation that enables efficient utilization and contribution. Create design assets, guidelines, and usage examples to empower both designers and developers.
• Advocacy: Advocate for design system best practices and raise awareness of its value across the organization. Promote system thinking and assist in enhancing the quality and consistency of the product ecosystem.
• Accessibility & Quality: Integrate accessibility, usability, and responsiveness into the system's foundation. Regularly audit and refine patterns to comply with standards and provide inclusive experiences.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience focusing on design systems, UI frameworks, interaction design, and visual consistency across complex product ecosystems.
