Lead Product Designer

📋 Description

• Engaging in professional collaboration and communication with internal and cross-functional teams

• Collaborating effectively with cross-disciplinary teams, such as FEWD, to develop functional and captivating product experiences

• Proficiently conveying direction, design principles, and specifications

• Facilitating a highly collaborative design process, earning trust from the team to address scope and technical challenges and reach thoughtful solutions

• Taking a leadership role in cross-discipline meetings, advocating for design perspectives and fostering trust among design teams and other disciplines

• Creating experience maps, user scenarios, comps, and flows

• Designing user experiences from initial sketches to advanced prototypes

• Generating rapid prototypes to validate design concepts

• Developing strategies and methods to address design issues

• Coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams

• Communicating design considerations to various audiences, including developers, management, and leadership

• Anticipating problems and utilizing established methods to devise design solutions that align with and surpass business objectives

• Collaborating effectively with cross-disciplinary teams

• Engaging closely with diverse teams to gather user insights, identify opportunities, validate concepts, and share ideas across the team

• Influencing partners and stakeholders positively, both directly and indirectly

• Presenting work to cross-functional teams and leadership

• Demonstrating proficiency in executing design practices within Agile software development

• Collaborating with Project Owners and Business Analysts to develop and maintain a product backlog

• Working closely with partners to shape requirements and user stories

• Considering and integrating business goals into design decisions and solutions

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of hands-on experience in designing product experiences or general UX design

• Previous experience working in a cross-functional product team within an Agile environment

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in navigating and leveraging a heavily cross-functional environment

• Minimum 1 year of experience mentoring other designers

• Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end code frameworks

• Experience in designing native mobile apps

• Experience in ecommerce

• Knowledge of design research methodologies
