Lead VFX Artist

📋 Description

• Work closely with the Art Director and project stakeholders to design and implement captivating visual effects, while overseeing project technical requirements and asset production

• Offer artistic feedback on aspects like timing, color theory, VFX principles, and more to team members

• Proactively identify issues, suggest solutions, and collaborate with the team on implementation strategies

• Find creative solutions to VFX challenges, collaborating with others for effective resolutions

• Manage and optimize VFX assets to meet project deadlines

• Ensure VFX align with game style and technical constraints

• Maintain an organized workflow and document team content

• Develop new effects that enhance gameplay and character interactions with environments

• Establish a scalable VFX pipeline and work with the development team for game enhancement

• Address any issues hindering VFX team progress and communicate with production management

• Review development milestones to ensure project alignment and address risks

• Mentor team members to enhance their VFX skills and career growth

• Act as a technical and business resource for artists and engineers, aiding in problem-solving and project leadership

• Contribute to VFX group growth through process improvements and training initiatives

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of game industry experience creating VFX for notable games

• Experience leading VFX Artists and collaborating with Art and Technology departments

• Proficiency in creating Niagara particle systems in UE5

• Strong organizational skills and ability to provide constructive feedback

• Demonstrated mentorship skills and willingness to learn new software

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
