• Lead the Global UX Strategy by defining and promoting a North Star vision for the PDP and content formats in line with Reddit's five-year company objectives. Influence executive leadership to align product roadmaps with this vision.
• Design and supervise company-wide UX frameworks to create 'slots, triggers, and rules' allowing the organization to deliver features into the PDP ecosystem while upholding high standards for performance (TTI) and visual consistency.
• Address long-term user retention challenges by forecasting and solving them. Lead initiatives to make significant changes in DAU metrics across the W0 to Day 90 windows, utilizing deep behavioral data and experimental frameworks to demonstrate ROI.
• Act as a strategic partner to Sr. Director and VP-level stakeholders in Product and Engineering, making high-stakes trade-offs between experience quality, business value, and technical feasibility across the company.
• Establish design excellence benchmarks that impact industry standards for content consumption, accessibility, and high-scale modular UI, benefiting not only Reddit but the industry at large.
• Identify and resolve systemic UX challenges that cut across team boundaries, mentoring senior and staff-level designers to enhance the craft and strategic thinking of the Design organization.
• Minimum of 12 years of Product Design experience, with a significant portion focused on leading transformative, high-scale initiatives at a Principal or Director level.
• Demonstrated ability in Visionary System Thinking, architecting resilient systems that enable multiple teams to scale by recognizing connections between different product areas.
• Proven track record of driving strategic business outcomes through visionary design interventions, resulting in significant shifts in global DAU or retention.
• Deep understanding of high-traffic platform technology, capable of engaging in architectural discussions with Senior Staff/Principal Engineers regarding latency, framework limitations, and performance budgets.
• Excellent communication skills to inspire large groups towards a common, future-state vision with extreme clarity and impact at all organizational levels.
• Portfolio showcasing high-fidelity craft, the ability to drive long-term strategy, and shape entire product ecosystems.
