• As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing user experiences on the Federato platform.
• This role offers the chance to innovate new experiences, enhance existing designs, and shape the future direction of the product.
• We operate at a fast pace to tackle a variety of complex product challenges, prioritizing end-user experience in commercial underwriting.
• In this position at Federato, you will define, prototype, and design new features and enhancements throughout the platform.
• Craft visually appealing UI designs, features, and interactions that cater to specific user requirements.
• Advocate for users and propose product design concepts that enhance the overall user experience.
• Collaborate closely with founders, engineers, and designers to establish and implement new features and offerings for clients.
• Illustrate the product's direction through mockups, wireframes, and visuals to guide a highly efficient team of engineers.
• Engage in constructive feedback exchanges with fellow designers to continuously elevate our standards for quality.
• Possess 4-10 years of professional design experience, ideally within fast-paced startup environments.
• Provide a portfolio showcasing previous product design projects.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding and background in user-centered design processes.
• Experience collaborating with engineers and team members to iterate on visual and UX designs.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills, self-sufficiency, and the ability to independently manage end-to-end designs and product features.
• Excellent presentation, teamwork, and communication abilities are essential.
• Proficient in design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Bonus: Experience in FinTech/InsurTech, working in startup environments, developing design systems, and overseeing UI pattern libraries.
• Familiarity with technical constraints and workflows for building reactive web interfaces (CSS/HTML/JSReact) is advantageous.
