• The Teamwork Platform team seeks an experienced and dedicated Principal Designer to lead the design of Atlassian’s Teamwork Graph.
• As a staff-level individual contributor within a global organization spanning North America, Australia, and India, you will report to the Head of Design, Teamwork Platform. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to make the Teamwork Graph accessible and valuable for customers, internal teams, and third-party developers.
• Utilize your expertise in product design, interaction design, and visual design to create scalable experiences that guide teams and establish platform capabilities for long-term value.
• Partner with internal teams and third-party developers to enhance the tools, patterns, and experiences associated with the graph and AI applications.
• Focus on defining design strategies and implementing them for the Teamwork Graph and other platform experiences that support Atlassian products.
• Possess over 10 years of experience in designing software products, showcasing a strong portfolio of high-quality work across complex systems and platforms.
• Experience in designing for scalable platform capabilities, including developer tools, distributed systems, and data-rich interfaces.
• Demonstrated success in designing for enterprise-grade environments with a focus on availability, security, and performance for multi-product platforms serving millions of users.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into intuitive user experiences and exhibit strong systems thinking and strategic framing skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative approach and executive presence.
• Recognized for setting high standards in interaction and visual design, with a commitment to excellence throughout the design process.
• Experience in mentoring and fostering a strong design culture through feedback and team engagement.
• Comfortable working across teams and organizations, leading through influence and adaptability.
