• We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Product Design Manager to oversee our product design initiatives within the Product Experience team at SportsEngine.
• Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of skilled designers in creating visually captivating, user-friendly, and inclusive experiences across our digital product range.
• This role necessitates close teamwork with Product Managers, Engineers, and various stakeholders to shape the product vision, influence strategic decisions, and enhance design excellence.
• The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for UI intricacies, a drive to push design boundaries, and a proven history of delivering cutting-edge design solutions for web and mobile platforms.
• You should be a visionary thinker, adept problem-solver, and inspirational leader who thrives on evolving design systems, mentoring others, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and forward-thinking design environment.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity overseeing designers and shaping product direction.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully designing and launching extensive, intricate products across web and mobile platforms.
• Exceptional proficiency in UI design with a keen eye for visual details, layout, hierarchy, and interaction patterns.
• Advanced skills in Figma and a deep comprehension of design systems, accessibility best practices, and cross-platform uniformity.
• Thorough understanding of platform guidelines such as Apple HIG, Material Design, and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience with design driven by experimentation, including A/B testing, rapid iteration, and data-driven product evolution.
• Outstanding communication and storytelling skills — capable of elucidating design rationale, influencing stakeholders, and advocating for users effectively.
• Proven ability to collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Data teams to shape strategies and deliver impactful solutions.
• Strong product intuition and the ability to navigate uncertainty, balancing visionary thinking with practical execution strategies.
• Portfolio showcasing design leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and impactful user-centric projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
