Senior Design Manager, NA

📋 Description

• Lead product performance and technical excellence initiatives

• Manage skilled engineering teams specializing in critical data center infrastructure systems

• Own the design life cycle for both current and upcoming projects

• Coordinate and approve design documentation reviews

• Supervise contractors throughout project cycles

• Foster collaboration between Sales, Solutions Engineering, EH&S, and Operations teams

• Address complex engineering challenges and guide their resolution

• Provide technical engineering guidance for departmental alignment

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Planning, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred

• 10+ years of experience in data center design management or similar leadership roles; 15+ years preferred

• Knowledge of sustainable building design and renewable energy systems

• Strong organizational and project management abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in data center design and familiarity with North American construction markets

• Strong understanding of critical cooling and power infrastructure in data center projects

• Familiarity with building codes and fire ordinances

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

• Expected travel of 15-30%, subject to increase as business evolves
